Welcome to my favorite project by far, project 4. During this exciting project, we were tasked to come up with a design or more so a device that would aid our client James and help him live more comfortably. James suffers with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome or EDS for short which is a condition that makes him very susceptible to joint injury, dislocation and subluxation. During several client meetings, my teammates and I noticed that James had trouble holding his phone over long periods and it caused him pain. We know how essential phones are in this day and age so we decided to come up with a simple yet efficient resolution to this problem. We took the simple design of the once popular pop socket, a phone case attachment which supposedly made it easier and more comfortable to grip your phone and we modified and improved it to suit James’s specific needs. Using nothing but a tennis sweatband, some CAD models and a 3D printer, we came up with the anti gravity case.
